Asia Rates Don’t Follow Fed Moves: Andrew Freris

September 27: Asian markets follow the G3 economies, which is why they are doing well now, says Andrew Freris of BNP Paribas Wealth Management. However, there has been a decoupling of Asian rates for the US interest rates, he says, adding that India and Indonesia have already increased rates. The rest of the economies have very mixed policies, he says, adding that he is amused as far as Fed tapering is linked to interest rates in Asia.
