September 19: Sonal Varma, ED and India Economist at Nomura (India), says the Fed’s decision not to reduce asset buying is a near-term positive for the Indian economy, going to the extent that RBI starts rolling back some measures at its policy meet tomorrow. “However, the underlying growth momentum remains weak and there are real issues in the economy,” she warns.
