September 24: Compared to the size of debt holdings that foreign investors have in India, the recent $30 billion outflow is significant but is holding there, says Neeraj Gambhir, MD & Co-Head of Fixed Income India at Nomura. Once we see currency stability, credible policy to tackle inflation and a move to financial consolidation, there will be both debt and equity capital back into the country, he adds.
