August 21: Aadil Ebrahim, MD of Bowen Asia, states that people are looking at safer havens to invest their money in, away from India. He points out that Indonesia and India are under tremendous pressure and that FIIs are holding on to cash, as they are reluctant to invest in India. Ebrahim expects US bond yields to continue rising and the rupee to stabilize after September. Furthermore, Hong Kong is expected to benefit from the China recovery, and Japan remains a favorite.
