June 6: Saudi Arabia and 3 other gulf nations have severed ties with Qatar for allegedly backing terrorism. This has led to renewed fear of risk aversion in global markets and the fear of a spike in oil prices if the geopolitical tensions ends up disrupting oil supplies.
