SC Makes Foreign Awards More Enforceable

July 25: After last year’s landmark ruling restricting interference of Indian courts and foreign arbitration, the recent apex court ruling will perhaps silence the debate about public policy on enforcement of foreign arbitral awards. The three-member bench order restricts Indian courts to reopen case at enforcement stage and limits scope of ground of public policy.
