January 28: EGoM headed by Finance Minister P. Chidambaram decided to keep spectrum usage charge (SUC) rate for broadband wireless access companies unchanged at 1% of their adjusted gross revenue. It also fixed the SUC rate at 5% for bidders in upcoming auctions, going against the TRAI's recommendation of 3% of adjusted gross revenue.
