IPAB Empowers Itself To Review Orders

August 1: The Intellectual Property Appellate Board has empowered itself to substantively review its own orders and pass interim orders. This comes after two larger benches at the IPAB took up critical issues in earlier hearings. Bloomberg TV India asks Shwetasree Majumdar, Co Founder of Fidus Law Chambers, to explain what it means for remedial measures in India for intellectual property rights. The IPAB decision will help address pendency and make litigation more effective, she says.
