M. Narendra, Chairman, Indian Overseas Bank, states that the central bank has been maintaining that that it will try to provide liquidity support to the productive sectors of the economy. He also points out that as and when inflation comes down, the RBI will also get space to reduce the preference rate. He explains that suddenly all the measures implement by the RBI have resulted in liquidity getting tightened.
