August 23: The RBI is optimistic as far as growth is concerned, although there are couple of risks with regard to financing and controlling of current account deficit (C.A.D.), asset quality and the rupee fall. Commenting on the rupee, the central bank states that intense volatility had prompted unconventional measures. Furthermore, markets should expect harsher moves if the rupee doesn’t stabilise.
