August 23: Over the last few weeks - onion prices have sky-rocketed across the country to unprecedented rates like Rs.80 a kilogram. However, a special investigation by Bloomberg TV India has found that there has been rampant hoarding of onions at various points of the supply chain, resulting in an artificial shortage, and profiteering as a result of unnatural prices.
