August 29: The measures taken by the RBI and finance ministry are counterproductive and have made things worse, says Surjit Bhalla, Senior Adviser at ZyFin Research. “India is facing its biggest currency crisis. This is a historic opportunity for new RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan to chart out a new path,” he says, adding that Rajan starts with a clean slate and can relook and revise measures to tackle the crisis.
