September 6: There is more upside for US interest rates and bond yields, which will shift money back into developed markets, says Kevin Gardiner, CIO Europe at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management. As the US economy improves, emerging markets will face a sell-off, he says, adding that countries with a large CAD, such as India, are unsettling investors. At a time when money is flowing out of the emerging markets, it is leaving these few markets particularly exposed, he adds.
