Low 60s Right Value For Rupee: Sanjeev Prasad

September 11: Sanjeev Prasad of Kotak Institutional Equities says the rupee may appreciate in the short term on recent RBI measures. “The lower-end of 60 per dollar is the right value for the rupee,” he says, but warns that this will depend on the cues from Fed quantitative easing tapering and India’s domestic issues. The RBI measures may even attract $10-20 billion of FCNR flows into India, he adds.
