Fund Inflows A Tricky Call: Sanjeev Prasad

September 11: The overall global market environment is not supportive of inflows into emerging markets, says Sanjeev Prasad of Kotak Institutional Equities. He points to the $9 billion in outflows in debt versus $3 billion in equities in the past three months, to reiterate that FIIs tend to stay longer in equities. However, with the Fed set to start tapering its quantitative easing, the government must focus on increasing FIIs into India with reforms, he says.
