September 12: Kirit Somaiya, President of The Investors' Grievance Forum, says government does not want to admit NSEL was a fraud. “Unless government agencies file an FIR against NSEL or Jignesh Shah, we can’t start an inquiry,” he says, adding that MCA is letting agencies to take their own time. Agencies are not inclined to start a criminal investigation and SEBI is acting now to signal government intent to proceed. Another point to raise is why haven’t big brokers initiated action, he asks?
