September 16: Consumer staples has been a consistent underweight on demand risks, says Aditya Narain, MD & India Equity Strategist at Citi. “The corporate sector has slowed considerably and at some level you will see some amount of pain in the consumer space,” he adds. Among materials, Citi is worried about cement, he says. Meanwhile, FII concentration makes the Sensex more sensitive, he says, adding that risk appetite will come with market momentum.
