September 17: Juris Corp’s H. Jayesh says the government’s move to throw open overseas markets for Indian companies allows companies to directly tap new foreign investors and prevent excess dilution. The finance ministry’s move to overhaul FCCB and ordinary share schemes is positive, he says, while warning against strict restrictions. “Rules need to be investor friendly and not as if we are doing FIIs any favours,” he adds.
