September 30: Macquarie Bank’s Nizam Idris says a big unknown out of the US continues to overshadow all factors in Asia, especially currencies. Meanwhile, Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Indranil Pan says most of the adjustments as far as inflation differential with global currencies is concerned are over. However, the currency volatility may remain on global and domestic uncertainties, he says, adding markets will be driven by news rather than fundamentals.
