September 30: Across Asia, we’ve seen a debt market unwind and a large sell-off, says Nizam Idris of Macquarie Bank. “The issue here boils down to sentiment and a dislike for countries with high CAD,” he says. The markets seem to think that with the upcoming elections, both India and Indonesia will not be able to put the time being offered by the Fed tapering delay to good use, he adds.
