April-June CAD Seen At $23 Bn: Bloomberg Poll

September 30: The current account deficit for the April- June period is set to be declared today. A Bloomberg poll of 24 economists suggests that the CAD is set to balloon to about $23 billion, which translates to 4.8% of the GDP. However, economists says this is not a cause for alarm as this is likely to be the peak for CAD, with gold imports, the rupee and the rest of CAD data points showing improvement.
