February 3: Over the last week, Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United has dominated the headlines. The ruling party in Bihar is attempting to stitch together an informal third front - with the Left parties and the erstwhile Janata Dal umbrella - which includes Mulayam Singh's Samajwadi Party and Naveen Patnaik's Biju Janata Dal.
