Hyderabad: A case of disproportionate assets has been registered against a senior official of the goods and services tax (GST) here and assets worth
Rs 3.74 crore allegedly belonging to him have been unearthed, CBI officials said here Tuesday.
The case was filed Monday against Bollineni Srinivasa Gandhi working as a superintendent, anti-evasion wing, GST Commissionerate-Hyderabad and his wife after searches were conducted at their residence and other places, the CBI sources said.
The raids continued till Tuesday, the sources said.
Earlier, Gandhi, had worked in the Enforcement Directorate and was part of investigation team that had taken up the money-laundering probe in cases related to Andhra
Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and others.
