Asset quality improved, in better state to reduce NPAs: Dinabandhu Mohapatra, Bank of India

Dinabandhu Mohapatra, MD & CEO, Bank of India says asset quality has improved amid controlled slippages. He adds the bank covered 77% of its total bad debt, and that it expects some writebacks this quarter. He says that the cost of funds has reduces and yields have improved, unlike other banks which saw an increase in cost of funds. He adds that BoI has been proactively selling old NPA accounts, thus leading the bank to a position to reduce NPAs going forward.
