FAA Cuts India's Aviation Safety Ranking

February 4: The US Federal Aviation Administration downgraded India's aviation safety ratings as the Indian aviation regulator didn’t meet international safety standards. KPMG Director Aviation Amber Dubey says this cut will impact various components of the Indian aviation and tourism sectors. DGCA has already acted on 4 of the 7 issues cited, he says, while discussing the fare wars, expansion and consolidation in the sector.
