September 16: Brian Jackson, Director & Global FX Strategist at Coutts, says the fading risk of a Syria strike along with expectations of a softer impact of the Fed QE tapering is supporting risk appetite. Referring to Larry Summers’ exit from the Fed chief race, he says, “The destination remains the same but the speed will differ. Summers was likely to unwind QE more aggressively than Janet Yellen; his exit will get a reaction,” he says.
