Rating agency Icra has estimated the GDP growth in the June quarter to ease to 6 per cent, against 8 per cent in the year-ago period, on contraction in exports and high base effect. The gross value added (GVA) is expected at 5.80 per cent from 7.70 per cent last year, driven by industry and agriculture. Aditi Nayar, Prinicipal Economist at Icra, spoke to BTVI on the latest report.
