Little Clarity On Fiscal Stimulus Impacting Rupee: K Harihar

The Indian rupee on Thursday plunged to an over eight-month low of 71.81, dropping 26 paise against the US dollar as tumbling equities and incessant foreign fund outflows weighed on sentiment. Speaking with BTVI, K Harihar, Head of Treasury at First Rand Bank, said depreciation of Chinese currency is having an impact of most global currencies, adding little clarity on fiscal stimulus is also having its impact on the rupee. He expects rupee to fall past 72 level in the short-term. Here's more.
