September 26: Future Group’s Kishore Biyani says that India is not a homogenous market and regional scale is more fruitful than diversification. The retail fraternity needs to work together as partners to create a win-win situation for everyone, he says, adding that market capitalization of retail companies is tiny compared to their market potential. FMCG companies are not launching enough products and FDI in multi-brand retail is a non-starter at the moment, he adds.
