Rupee Fall Sweetens Indian Sugar Exports

September 6: Recent data suggests that the fall in the rupee could lead to India's sugar exports more than tripling to about 1 million metric tonnes. The weaker rupee has made domestic sugar more competitive than global prices, which is now at a $39 per metric tonne premium to domestic sugar.
