September 10: Crude oil is prone to short-term spikes on geopolitical shocks such as Syria, but one must keep in mind long-term demand-supply fundamentals, says Tai Hui, Chief Market Strategist Asia at JPMorgan Funds. We are seeing stabilization in China and demand is unlikely to reach peak levels anytime soon, he says, adding that the view is of moderate oil price movements, with a limited impact of any short-term spike.
