Will Arundhati Bhattacharya Be SBI's Next Chairperson?

September 30: According to sources, India's largest lender State Bank of India is all set to appoint its first-ever woman chairperson. With SBI's current chairman of two and half years, Pratip Chaudhuri retiring today, the coast now seems to be clear for current Managing Director Arundhati Bhattacharya to succeed him. The FM has cleared her name for the post but the nomination still awaits the ACC nod. All eyes are now on the announcement of the new chairman, which is expected today.
